About me

Welcome to my profile. I am a BACP registered counsellor providing one-to-one counselling for adults in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks. I am an Associate Counsellor at West Kent Mind and a link to information about me can also be found on their website.

I provide a confidential, safe and respectful space where you can be free to express yourself whilst being responded to with empathy. A place where you can be truly heard and feel you can trust that what you have to say will be received without judgement.

I understand the courage it takes to recognise that something, within your life, isn't working and that it may feel daunting when taking the first steps in wanting to implement change. I believe that through the right therapeutic relationship you can begin to identify and explore your struggles, allowing you to heal, grow and strengthen resilience.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I draw on a range of different counselling techniques and theories, this enables us to work together in a way that would best suit your needs. My approach can help you find clarity in your thoughts, feelings and actions, gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and the situations which are causing distress.

As a trained professional, I am impartial and skilled to provide you with the support you need to find your own answers. Enabling you to feel that you have the internal resources needed to gain confidence, control and positive changes in your life.

I am able to offer daytime or evening sessions.

I work with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Childhood issues
  • Trauma
  • Work issues
  • Lack of direction in your life
  • General support

As a member of the BACP, I abide by their code of ethical practice and professional standards.

I am also registered with the ICO, DBS checked and fully insured.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Fees

I offer an introductory assessment session which is free of charge.

Sessions last for 50 minutes and cost £45 per session.

I passionately believe that counselling should be available to all, for this reason I keep some reduced-fee places for those who are unemployed or on very low income. There may be a wait for such a place to become available. Please contact me if you would like to discuss this further.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.
