About me

Hello I’m Clare, a counsellor, healer and integrated constellations practitioner.

I am an experienced therapist and invite you to a safe, nurturing and healing space either in nature, from my practice rooms, or online.

Do you feel lost or alone?

Do you yearn for connection, but being seen fully feels too risky?

Do you feel a pull to people please or over explain because disagreement feels dangerous ?

You hold yourself back because the stakes feel too high?

Are you exhausted from constantly monitoring yourself so you don’t say or do the wrong thing?

Do you even believe it's possible to feel connected and valued?

There is another way.

I can help you get to a place where you can feel connected to yourself and others. Where you feel worthy of someone who will honour you. Safe enough to reveal yourself and speak your truth. Safe enough step out and ask for what you want and need.

Reach out and try a free 20 minute consultation so you can find out if working with me is right for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Please reach out via the introductory calls links to request a time to meet with me. Alternatively email me, letting me know your availability.

I work from the beautiful Hands on Retreat near Ashburton, and from rooms in Chudleigh. I prefer to work one to one in person at least to start with. I am also available for sessions on zoom. I like to work flexibly according to your circumstances. You may wish to meet weekly, bi-weekly or on an ad hoc basis. However, It is usually helpful to meet regularly at the start of your therapy. I also offer 75 minute sessions as standard, but can adapt this if needed.

I find it helpful to explore issues by acknowledging that we all have different ‘parts’. For example, we may have an inner critic, a rebel, a part that avoids difficult feelings by using drugs, alcohol, work, being constantly busy, eating, zoning out, overwhelming anger or anxiety etc etc. There are so many parts and they aren’t bad! Our parts just need some space, compassion and to be heard and validated. We can reach these parts in many ways according to what works for you. It really can be liberating. I am not a registered IFS therapist but I am trained to work in a number of different ways with parts of self.

In addition to one to one work, I offer constellations group work. This is powerful healing in its own right. Please look at my website for more information or email me to be added to my email list. I promise not to inundate your inbox and would only email details of forthcoming workshops and group series. I am a founder member of the Constellation Collective.

If you prefer to work with me in nature, please get in touch. I can offer one to one walk and talk therapy.
