About me

I am a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Psychological Society (BPS) registered Counselling Psychologist. I have been working with clients therapeutically since 2016 in the NHS and in private practice.

In my private practice, I specialise in supporting women experiencing emotional and psychological distress. I help women facing challenges including fertility issues, perinatal and postnatal anxiety, postnatal depression, trauma, menopause difficulties, burnout, ageing, and women's health issues.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for women to give voice to their experiences and better understand themselves. I work with my clients to develop a shared understanding of their difficulties and then draw on a wide range of evidence-based therapies, including EMDR and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to meet their particular needs.

I am passionate about providing effective, evidence-based psychological therapy for women of all ages. Please do get in touch if you want to find out more about how I might be able to help.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed a doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Surrey and have many years' experience working as a senior psychologist in the NHS. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
