About me

Is it hard to know where to start? I believe that the key to good therapy is if our relationship works well and research backs this up.  I hope you will take up my offer of a free introductory call so we can chat through any questions you have to help you decide whether I am the right person for you.

Taking the first step can feel overwhelming but I encourage you to give it a try and see the difference that having a supportive, dedicated space for you makes.  Whatever you are struggling with; anxiety, depression, relationship breakdown, bereavement or other forms of loss, (the hope of parenthood, miscarriage or affairs), our sessions will be an opportunity to focus on you and your needs.  I will support you to begin to understand your feelings and help you gain a greater sense of clarity and acceptance.  Step by step we will build a relationship where you feel safe and seen, where you can explore your hopes and fears, what is keeping you stuck and the choices you have to move on. I will listen with warmth and compassion to your unique story.

I am committed to welcoming all, regardless of gender, religion or cultural background.

Training, qualifications & experience

As a relational integrative therapist, (FdSc Counselling (Greenwich), I use a blend of therapy, (person centred, psychodynamic, cognitive,) to tailor my approach to you personally, whilst seeking to provide a safe, trusting, non-judgemental relationship.

In addition to my private practice I work as a Bereavement Counsellor in a local hospice.

I have an interest in supporting those going through legal proceedings and professionals experiencing secondary trauma.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
