About me
I have been a psychotherapist and counsellor since 2009, working with young people and adults, providing a warm, professional and confidential space for you to think about the problems and issues which are troubling you at the moment.
My therapeutic approach is Integrative, meaning I apply different methods and theory depending on a clients' needs and what problems they are presenting with.
Historic and current relationships and events are often key in how a client is presenting and managing their difficulties, and so - depending on the need of the client - I always hold this in mind with the work.
There maybe many reasons why you are looking for extra support - or one reason - no problem is too small. I have worked with a variety of issues which crop up during our lives - anxiety, loss & bereavement, eating disorders, anger, depression, self-harm, friendship issues, education problems or the big move to university, relationship and family breakdowns, self-esteem or low confidence - and many more.
I have worked in schools (primary, secondary and 6th forms, and a lot of client work with university students) and have a thorough knowledge and experience of the sorts of issues that young people face, in and out of education, as well as safe-guarding issues that may arise in the work.
The aim is to help you explore and understand these challenges, hopefully providing you with some useful tools along the way.
If you struggle to come to face-to-face sessions I also provide online counselling.
As a BACP Accredited counsellor I take my own personal development and safety seriously, and attend regular supervision and training to keep up to date with research and mental health developments. I am also an Accredited Supervisor and provide support for trainee and qualified counsellors.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Initial consultation (on the phone / online) approx 20-30mins - no charge
Sessions cost £70 for 50minutes.
24-hour cancellation policy - please notify as soon as possible if the appointment needs to change / cancel.
There is no set number of sessions, we can take it as things go and how you feel as time passes, although I recommend starting with a block of 4 sessions in a row, review from there what the need is and how the work is going.
