About me
I use an integrative approach working holistically with clients often incorporating the psychological, physiological, spiritual and emotional aspects of the challenges experienced in being human. Encouraging greater self-awareness and facilitation of the release of tension caused by life’s struggles.
Talk Therapy Service provides Counselling and Psychotherapy in a supportive and non-judgmental environment which facilitates clients’ growth. Mostly my clients set the agenda and determine the pace and direction of the talk therapy. This can help foster a sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance, enabling the client to develop a greater sense of autonomy and self-direction. The approach I use is directed by a clients’ goals.
We can all get stuck navigating life changes and demands at various times on our journey to wholeness. My training and qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy enable me to provide a safe and confidential space for clients, over the age of 16 years, to explore their feelings in support of being a truer reflection of who they really are and living a life they love.
Training, qualifications & experience
Having completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Drama in 1997, I started my career in mental health and physical wellbeing. Initially I lectured in Psychology for several years focusing on developmental and social aspects of the field.
In order to make a difference to the community I lived in, I qualified as a Youth Worker specialising in the 16-30 age group and continued my professional development to Post Graduate level.
I am trained as an Integrative Counsellor offering Person Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic Counselling.
