About me

Welcome. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling with your thoughts, feelings, or behaviours, you’re not alone – and you’re in the right place.

Whether you’re facing ongoing anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or a sense of disconnection from yourself, therapy can help you make sense of what’s happening. In our sessions, I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your experiences and find a way forward.

You might be seeking therapy because you’re experiencing:

  • A sense of being disconnected or “not yourself” – something feels wrong, but you’re not sure what.
  • Low mood or feelings of depression that seem difficult to shake.
  • Overwhelm from stress at work or home that feels impossible to manage.
  • Struggles with unhealthy habits or patterns, like addiction or self-sabotage.
  • The deep pain of grief or loss, whether recent or long-standing.
  • The lingering effects of past trauma, leading to anxiety or intrusive thoughts.
  • Suicidal thoughts that feel heavy or unmanageable.

These are just a few of the challenges that might bring you here, but I understand that your reasons for seeking therapy are unique to you. Your personal experience and what you’re going through is what matters most, and together we’ll work to help you understand and move through whatever it is that you are facing.

What you can expect:
Our work together will help you process and make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This may lead to a sense of relief, clarity, and a deeper understanding of yourself. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on what matters most in your life.

Through a trusting, therapeutic relationship, I offer you a safe and confidential space to explore both past and present struggles. Together, we’ll work through the emotional pain of past experiences, and also address the more immediate stressors that might be impacting your day-to-day life.

We’ll also explore how you relate to others – helping you understand your attachment style and how it influences your relationships. By doing so, we can work to improve your connections with others and deepen your sense of trust and intimacy.

My approach is built on the belief that healing is possible for everyone.
Given the right environment, we all have the ability to heal, grow, and transform. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and free to explore all parts of yourself – including the aspects you may feel unsure of or uncomfortable with. In this space, I believe you can develop stronger boundaries, a clearer sense of self, and greater peace in the present moment.

The therapeutic relationship itself is an opportunity for you to experience acceptance, and in doing so, deepen your sense of self-worth. My belief is that your value is not tied to others’ expectations of you, but is found in who you truly are. Through this process, you can move toward greater self-acceptance and freedom.

Working with me:
Throughout our work together, we’ll review your progress regularly to ensure we’re on track toward your goals. I will also provide a written agreement outlining what you can expect from our sessions and what I expect from you, so that we can build a relationship based on mutual respect, trust, and clarity.

Training, qualifications & experience

My Qualifications and Experience
I am a qualified therapist with experience supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges. These include anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, abuse, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, and suicidal thoughts. I also offer support to those navigating emotional challenges connected to neurodiversity.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on various therapeutic approaches to best suit your needs. These include Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Transactional Analysis. I also integrate Kübler-Ross’s Grief Theory to support you in working through grief and loss, if that’s part of your journey.

I believe in meeting you where you are and tailoring our work to your unique experience. At times, I may invite you to explore your feelings and experiences in creative ways, such as through writing, art, objects, or movement. These methods can be a powerful way to express what may be difficult to put into words, allowing you to connect with your whole self as you work towards healing and wholeness. You don’t need to consider yourself "creative" for this to be helpful—just an openness to explore is all that’s needed.

Who I Work With
I offer therapy to adults and young people, and I welcome individuals from all walks of life, no matter your stage of life, background, gender, sexuality, or spiritual beliefs. My goal is to see you as the individual you are, and to create a welcoming space where you feel valued and understood.

If you’re looking for counselling for a child or young person, please get in touch to discuss whether I can offer the support they need.

Professional Commitment
I am fully committed to working in line with the BACP Ethical Framework, which ensures that I provide the highest standards of practice, including maintaining confidentiality, protecting your data, engaging in ongoing professional development, and having regular supervision to ensure quality and ethical practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

ACC
