About me
I’m Claire, an NCPS Accredited Registrant offering private counselling and psychotherapy from my base on the Isle of Wight in East Cowes, with online sessions also available for clients further afield.
My approach is integrative; I draw on CBT, trauma-informed practice, hypnotherapy, NLP, and person-centred therapy, adapting to what feels right for you rather than fitting you into a single model. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low mood, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. My aim is to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can be honest about what’s really going on, and where we work together at your pace. Whether you’re looking for short-term support with something specific or a longer-term space to work through deeper patterns, I’d be glad to hear from you.

Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Level 5 Higher Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, along with a Diploma in Hypnotherapy. My training has taken place over four years, giving me a solid grounding in integrative therapeutic practice, including CBT, trauma-informed approaches, and person-centred work.
I am an NCPS Accredited Registrant, meaning my training and practice meet the standards required for accredited status with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
Alongside my counselling and hypnotherapy training, I also hold Reiki qualifications (Levels 1 and 2), which inform a holistic, whole-person approach to the work I do. I am currently continuing my professional development through further study in life coaching and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
I work under regular clinical supervision as part of my ongoing commitment to safe, accountable practice.

Further information
My own journey into this work began with personal development a few years ago, which led me into the therapeutic world. What I’ve learned since, both about myself and about human connection, has been second to none. The attachments we form in childhood shape so much of who we become, if we’re not conscious of them.
Therapy is so much more than simply exploring a problem or having someone listen.
Having a space where you feel truly seen and safe is something many people have never experienced, and I’ve seen throughout my training just how deeply that can help someone heal. I believe that, at our core, what we all want when we come into this world is to be held, understood, and to have our needs met.
This belief shapes how I work with every client, with warmth, presence, and a genuine commitment to helping you feel safe enough to be honest about where you are.
