About me
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low, or struggling to cope with life's challenges? Perhaps you're feeling disconnected from yourself or those around you, navigating a difficult life change, or looking for a space where you can make sense of what's happening. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, build confidence, and move towards a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, but you don't have to do it alone. As a person-centred counsellor, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and be heard. I believe that every person is unique, so I tailor our work to your individual needs, supporting you at a pace that feels comfortable and right for you.
Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, helping you gain greater self-understanding, develop resilience, and find a way forward that feels meaningful. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you as you discover the changes you want to make.
I offer face-to-face counselling from my private therapy room in Faversham, as well as online and telephone sessions for adults aged 18 and over. Whether you're looking for short-term support or longer-term therapy, we can discuss what best suits your needs during our first session. I also offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation so you can decide whether we're the right fit.
I trained in therapeutic counselling at Ocean Counselling in Rochester and previously volunteered with Rising Sun, supporting survivors of domestic abuse. I have additional training in working with autistic people and those with ADHD and OCD, alongside extensive experience supporting late-diagnosed AuDHD adults.
I am committed to ongoing supervision and continuing professional development to ensure my practice remains ethical, reflective and responsive to the people I work with.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Frequently asked questions:
What will you need to know when I first get in contact?
I will ask you a few questions about yourself and what you are experiencing so that I can understand a little more about your concerns and your needs. You can also ask me questions about what you want to know about therapy. If you would like to go ahead and book an appointment after our initial chat, then we would schedule your first appointment. There is no obligation to book an appointment.
What happens in my first appointment?
The first appointment is to get to know each other, and for you to get a feel for the therapy space; it can help us to decide if we feel we are able to work together. There is no obligation after the first appointment to continue if you feel counselling with me is not right for you at this time.
What happens next?
If we decide to work together, then we would have a simple contract, which covers certain key points including day/time of appointment, confidentiality and cancellation details.
How often and how long will sessions last?
Sessions are usually held the same time and day each week and are 50 minutes in duration.
How long will I need / can I have counselling for?
I offer both short- and long-term counselling. Some clients choose to meet for a few weekly sessions to look at a specific issue, whilst others, who need more time to reconnect with themselves and find the right path forward, come weekly for a number of months or years.
