About me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or stuck. I offer a calm, containing space where you can begin to explore what’s going on beneath the surface—at your own pace, and in your own words.

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic thinking, which means I’m interested in how past experiences might be shaping your present life—sometimes in ways that aren’t immediately obvious. I believe therapy works best when there’s space for reflection and honesty within a consistent and reliable relationship, and I place a strong emphasis on creating that kind of environment.

Clients often come to me with anxiety, depression, or a general sense of unease they can’t quite name. I also have a particular interest in working with LGBTQ+ clients, especially those who are navigating identity, relationships, or self-acceptance.

I won’t direct or advise you, but I will listen closely and help you notice patterns, meanings, and possibilities that might not have felt clear before. Together, we can think about what it might be like to live in a way that feels more authentic, less pressured, and more connected.

If you’re curious about starting therapy, feel free to get in touch to arrange an initial session where we can begin to think about any questions you may have.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychodynamic Practice from the University of Oxford, where I trained in providing in-depth, contemporary psychodynamic therapy. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their ethical framework.

My clinical experience includes over three years of working with a diverse range of clients in low-cost counselling services. These settings have deepened my understanding of how people from different backgrounds experience emotional difficulty, and have strengthened my commitment to offering therapy that is thoughtful, respectful, and attuned to each individual.

I continue to engage in regular supervision and ongoing professional development to support and enrich my practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
