About me
Hello. My Name is Chrissy, and I am a Qualified Psychodynamic counsellor working in Reigate, Surrey.
Whatever it is that brings you here, I am delighted that you have made it this far. Perhaps you are wondering if counselling is a good next step for you? I encourage you to get in touch, and we can wonder together. You don’t need to be sure exactly what it is you want out of counselling at this stage; we can figure it out as we go.
Coming to counselling can feel a bit daunting, especially for the first time. I believe that counselling is for everyone, from a journey of inner exploration to wrestling with big feelings, everything is welcome in my counselling room.
My ultimate goal is to help you reclaim the person you were always meant to be.
How I work
I am psychodynamically trained, meaning I work by helping you think about how your past has shaped you and how that affects your life and relationships today. I take pride in forming a meaningful connection with my clients. You are not just a job to me, I am honoured each time someone chooses to include me in their journey. I aim to make all my clients feel safe to open up about their experiences, struggles, and inner life.
Where I work
I work out of St John's church in Redhill. St John's takes pride in being an inclusive church where everyone is welcome. I work in an upstairs room that is accessible by lift. There is some parking, but space is limited at some times of the day. If you are able to walk for a couple of minutes, there is plenty of parking in surrounding streets. If this is a difficulty for you, let me know, and I will work with the church to do what we can to accommodate you.
St John's is a 10-minute walk away from Earlswood train station and 20 minutes away from Redhill train and bus stations.
How we get started
If you are interested in working with me, get in touch, and I will get back to you to arrange a free 15 min call. During the call, you can tell me what brings you to counselling. The call is an opportunity to see if we click and for you to ask any questions you might have.
What happens in your First Session?
In the first session, I will explain a bit about how the process will work, and then I will ask specific questions to help me understand more about who you are and what your experiences have been. In some cases, this may take more than one session. After this assessment, I will take a few days to consider if I am the right counsellor for you before we continue.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
