About me
Hi there, I'm Christie and I'm an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor!
My aim as a Counsellor is to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease whilst starting to explore the challenges and difficulties you’re struggling with. I'll provide you with a safe, compassionate and accepting space for you to understand how you've got to where you are now and support you in creating the changes you want for yourself.
You may be having difficulties in relationships, struggling with stress, depression or anxiety, experienced a loss or need a place to talk through painful experiences in a safe place. Therapy can seem daunting or overwhelming, my hope is to show you counselling is somewhere you can be curious, a time you can experience your thoughts and feelings and reconnect with yourself. To take time for yourself and even have moments of humour! Therapy can help you process these challenges at your pace, it can help you truly understand how you feel. I can work with you to create change and feel empowered, to find acceptance and growth or help you find clarity and balance where things feel stuck and uncertain.
I use an Integrative approach, which means working with you individually and incorporating different therapeutic modalities and tools, but most importantly I want to offer you somewhere you feel calm, understood and are able to talk freely about what is going on for you, a safe space to chat with someone who is completely objective.
Areas of Experience and Interests Include:
I work with a wide range of issues such as Anxiety and Stress, Depression, Bereavement, Grief and Loss, Health Anxiety, Self-Esteem and Self Worth, Sexuality, Relationships, Friendships, Family Issues, Emotional Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Physical Abuse and Workplace Issues.
How I Work:

How to Get in Touch:
Please contact me by email, please check your junk email after contacting me just in case my response has snuck into there!
I offer a free initial half an hour telephone or video consultation where we can discuss how we could work together and am happy to chat through options on how best to support you. I work face to face in Norwich City Centre or online and offer low cost and reduced fees.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
