How counselling helps:
Effective counselling reduces confusion, allowing you to make effective decisions leading to positive changes in attitude, behaviours and overall well-being. The ultimate aim of counselling is to enable you to feel more equipped in the choices you make, feel able to own decisions and generally feel you are managing your life in a more effective & happy manner.
The Therapeutic Relationship:
Effective counselling relies on the therapeutic relationship of client & therapist. My training has and continues to give, access to various theoretical platforms and methods of counselling. This gives great benefit when working together to explore what will be most suitable and effective for you. Together, sessions are tailored according to your needs, even if that is a session where you just want to gather your thoughts... how often is it that we allow ourselves that golden hour to just, well, think? This can be the opportunity....
Where are sessions held?
I am now able to begin taking face to face sessions again. I am also available to hold sessions via Skype, zoom, video and telephone. All are welcome, the important thing is that you are starting a new journey.

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
