About me

I help women and girls who are experiencing anxiety, trauma symptoms and depression. I specialise in EMDR, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Art Therapy with over 11+ years of experience in the NHS, charity and private sector. I offer tailored support that acknowledges and honours the complexity of women's experiences, fostering an environment of trust, healing, and empowerment. I specialise in trauma, birth trauma, perinatal issues, abuse, and neglect. I am passionate about working with women to help them understand and process the root cause of the issues, enabling them to tap into their strengths and empowerment.

Have you tried various kinds of therapy and found little to no use? My clients typically report feeling heard, seen and supported for the first time. I offer compassionate and specialist care so that you can meet your goals and reconnect to your inner strength.

I have specialist training in trauma, perinatal trauma and perinatal grief.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Further information

I believe in continued professional development and I am trained in Art Psychotherapy, Psychotherapy, EMDR therapy, Attachment Focussed EMDR, Dyadic Parent-Child therapy, compassion-focused therapy, Systemic Family Therapy (level one), perinatal grief, and Narrative Therapy. I have also attended intensive training from the Maudsley Liaison Psychiatry summer school to expand and deepen my theoretical knowledge and practice. I use broad training, skills and knowledge to form a ‘toolbox’ that allows me to provide personalised treatment plans for clients.

I offer a warm, welcoming, judgment-free space for women who want to engender change in their lives. I hold a small caseload for children.

"Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives." - Bessel van der Kolk, "The Body Keeps the Score". I hold the importance of a safe, reliable and warm space at the heart of my practice, we will work in collaboration and I will help you overcome what has happened to you.
