Integrative & CBT Psychotherapist (UKCP, BABCP)

About me

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience (public, private, corporate, and charity settings), living and working in West London and fully accredited with the BABCP and UKCP. I am also a doctoral candidate and will qualify as a Counselling Psychologist in 2026. Currently, I am researching the importance and meaning of the psychotherapy building for clients within local charities.

I understand that sometimes the person behind the symptoms can get lost or forgotten, and techniques alone cannot always lead to feeling better. For therapy to work, we need to really understand who you are and how you got here, to help us find effective ways of helping you flourish.

I have been able to work with clients from many walks of life, of a wide range of ages, cultural and identity backgrounds and believe this is one of the best parts of my job. I am a robust and ethical practitioner and strongly believe in equality and compassion, always striving to work with you in a way which is affirmative and non-discriminatory.

My approach

Therapy can be a creative, playful process as well as an emotional and intellectual one, but ultimately, it must be collaborative: your expertise and life experience are as necessary as mine as we pursue your goals.

I work integratively, meaning alongside CBT, I draw upon other theories and models (attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, psychodynamic, gestalt and compassion-focused therapy) to deepen my understanding of distress and offer a variety of perspectives and tools. However, research shows, time and again, that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of any successful therapy, so this will always be an important focus. What I bring to the relationship is warmth, humour, reliability and an eagerness to hear your story.

What I can help with

I am highly experienced in supporting adult clients with specific difficulties such as depression, OCD, phobias and PTSD, in a flexible, collaborative way. Often, however, it is problems in relationships or more generalised feelings of stress, loneliness, anxiety and low self-worth which might prompt clients to reach out, and my approach is highly suitable for these experiences too.

Having offered psychological support to employees of various public and corporate organisations, I am particularly able to support clients experiencing work-based difficulties.

Whatever the difficulty, I aim to work with you creatively and collaboratively to help you feel better and achieve your goals. I believe that a relaxed, warm and honest space is what's needed to help us work best.

Next steps

It is normally a good idea to have a brief conversation over the telephone to discuss your reasons for seeking support and for both of us to ask a few questions to check whether I am the best person to help.

If, after this call, we are happy to proceed, we can book an initial session to discuss things in more detail and explore how we may want to work together. There is no obligation to continue after this first appointment if it doesn’t feel quite right- it's important to find someone you can click with. Equally, if I do not feel confident I can help after the meeting, I will be honest about this, as no one's time or money should be wasted.

If we decide to work together, this can be short-term (less than 20 sessions), longer-term (6-12 months), or open-ended. Aside from scheduled holidays, therapy has the best chance of being helpful if we can meet weekly, especially initially.

Professional conduct

As a fully qualified psychotherapist, I adhere to ethical guidelines laid out by my accrediting bodies (BABCP and UKCP). I routinely discuss my cases with my clinical supervisor to ensure high standards of care, whilst maintaining client confidentiality.

How to get in contact

Please contact me via telephone or email to arrange a free 15-minute consultation. I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

Current employment

I recently left my part-time role as an on-site CBT therapist for Bupa within a corporate financial setting, where I provided free on-site support to employees. I now solely practice privately and am registered with various private health insurers.

Previous experience

As a trainee psychologist, I have worked in charities supporting women transitioning from prisons, cancer patients, and adults experiencing enduring mental health difficulties such as schizophrenia.

Before doctoral training, I worked as part of the counselling team at a leading London university. I offered individual therapy to undergraduate and post-graduate students often struggling with academic stress, disordered eating, depression and issues relating to race, gender and sexuality.

Prior to this, I worked within NHS Talking Therapies services for 7 years. Within these roles I delivered therapy in a variety of formats (including individual, group, telephone and online) and worked as a clinical supervisor to junior colleagues.

Although I no longer practice art formally, I have a continued interest in the creative arts, not only for the relaxation and inspiration they give me personally, but also for their therapeutic benefits when words aren't quite enough.
