About me
** September appointments available**
Hi, I'm Charlotte
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, and well done for taking this important step in your journey.
Reaching out for support isn't always easy, but you don't have to face life's challenges alone. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, whether they relate to the past, present or future.
With over 450 hours of counselling experience, the majority gained within private practice, I have supported clients through a wide range of emotional and life challenges. I work with adults aged 18+ and have experience supporting clients from 18 through to 91 years old. Every person is unique, so I tailor each session to your individual needs—there is no "one size fits all" approach.
Alongside individual counselling, I also offer relationship counselling. This includes couples, families, friendships, parent and adult child relationships, step-families, and non-traditional relationship dynamics, including polyamorous relationships where appropriate. Whatever your relationship looks like, you will be welcomed without judgement.
My ways of working include talking therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Together, we'll find an approach that feels right for you. Whether you're looking for short-term support to work through a specific issue or longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns, sessions are tailored to your individual needs, goals and pace.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and when it does, having someone to truly listen can make all the difference. While I can't make problems disappear, I will sit alongside you, helping you make sense of what's happening and supporting you as you find your own way forward. I believe the capacity for change already exists within you—my role is to help you discover and build upon it.
I offer counselling in a way that suits you:
Face-to-face in a comfortable, private counselling room.
Online via secure video call, provided you have a private space.
Telephone sessions if this feels more accessible for you.
I also offer discounted rates for students (subject to availability).
If you're wondering whether counselling is right for you, I invite you to book a free 20-minute introductory telephone call. It's an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to counselling, and decide whether we're the right fit.
Feeling comfortable with your counsellor is incredibly important. I hope that from our very first conversation, you'll feel listened to, respected and supported.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
