About me
I am a warm and friendly, qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in Sunningdale, for anyone aged 18 and over. I have my own dedicated therapy room and also offer online sessions. I am on an Accredited Register, accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
I have a previous background in HR and personal development as well as extensive personal experience in the complex and isolating world of SEN and neurodivergence. Both have resulted in a strong empathy and natural desire to support people on their unique paths of life and to help with strategies to promote emotional health.
I have an extended interest and additional training in childhood trauma (abuse, neglect, boarding school incidents, adoption) and how that can unconsciously impact adult life leading to issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues and low self esteem.
My approach is 'pluralistic' which means a blend of theories and techniques to help make sense of whatever is troubling you. Sometimes people simply want a neutral and supportive space to be heard while others may want a more solution based approach, or a combination of the two.
This approach combines Person Centred (listening to you as an individual), Psychodynamic (exploring your past) and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) because everyone is very different in the journey they've been on and what works for them.

Further information
I offer a safe and confidential space where you won't be disturbed and will have the chance to unpick areas where you feel stuck. You will learn practical techniques to address some of the symptoms of anxiety and low mood, whilst getting a clearer understanding of yourself, your wants and needs.
Everyone deserves the chance to be heard. Unmet needs can result in negative thoughts, feelings and behaviours which can then affect everything from confidence, relationships and health. I am very open in my approach and warmly welcome you to have a chat so you can get to know me and my style.
