About me

....is it time to take a breath?

Welcome to 'Up For Air' Counselling - as the name suggests. somewhere to come when everything just feels too much.

Taking the first step to counselling can be a daunting prospect but it just takes that first contact and the process unfolds gently from there, with benefits often felt fairly soon after.

Counsellors often get asked if we specialise in an area. My interest is in you in front of me, how you got to where you are and what you would like to change. Your difficulties could be anything from anxiety, depression to ADHD, relational issues and overwhelm and we work together to understand this.

I have extensive personal experience in the complex world of neurodivergence and SEN. I work with a lot of families navigating a diagnosis for themselves or their child/ young person and all of the complexities that this often brings.

I also have additional training in childhood trauma (abuse, neglect, boarding school incidents, adoption).

My approach is 'pluralistic' which means using several theories and techniques including Person Centred (listening to you as an individual), Psychodynamic (exploring your past) and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). I am also a Certified IEMT Practitioner (Integral Eye Movement Technique).

My therapy room is in Sunningdale or I offer online for anyone aged 18 and over. Please pick up the phone for a free, no obligation introductory chat.

Training, qualifications & experience

Qualifications: Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Level 5), Diploma of Counselling Skills & Theory and Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills.

IEMT Certification - Integral Eye Movement Technique.

I have my own Private Practice and also support new families with genetic diagnoses for a UK based charity.
