About me
I am an HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist passionate about supporting individuals navigating a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relational challenges, low self-esteem, body image concerns, and eating disorders.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that a strong and authentic therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change, and I aim to create a warm, trusting, and non-judgemental environment in which you feel safe to explore the challenges you are facing.
I work with adults and adolescents, on a long or short-term basis, and I am particularly interested in how early experiences and relational patterns can shape the way that we think, feel, and behave in the present. I also value the uniqueness of the individual, so I adopt an integrative approach to my work, drawing from a range of evidence based models rather than focussing on one single modality, to ensure that every individual receives treatment tailored to their specific goals and needs.
I understand how challenging it can be to seek support, therefore my aim is to work in a way that feels collaborative, respectful, and empowering - helping you move towards a more fulfilling life.
Training, qualifications & experience
Qualifications
I am a Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC, meaning that in addition to my Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DPsych), I also hold BSc and GradCert qualifications.
Training and Experience
I have over six years experience working with a wide range of mental health difficulties, within various settings including NHS services, private clinics and charitable organisations. I have been trained in a range of evidence-based models, which I integrate in a way that is most suited to each individual. These include Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT). I also incorporate third-wave approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and I have experience using specialist models for eating disorders, including CBT-E and MANTRA. In addition to individual therapy, I have some experience working systemically and involving family members in the therapeutic process.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
