About me

As well as being a registered HG Practitioner with the HG Institute (PSA accredited) I am an approved therapist for The Red Poppy Company that provides support for the frontline services as well as many other organisations. I am also a registered and approved therapist with PTSD Resolution Charity.

With nearly 30 years’ experience of working in health settings (including ICU) I have an intense sense of empathy and deep understanding of the experiences our frontline health worker are experiencing at the moment. I understand the fear and the anxiety. I have been there, albeit in less intense times. I know the sense of duty and dedication too that drives these workers through and I know the emotional exhaustion they must be feeling right now. For this reason I am prioritising bookings for frontline workers and offering a special rate. Some Trusts will even fund support if asked and I can process these claims too.

My knowledge and experience in the field of health also means I have a strong understanding of the mind and body connection and how our physical state directly impacts on our emotional well-being. I believe in finding ways to balance the physical and emotional state of being human.

I will endeavour, within the effective Human Givens model of practice, to support my clients to restore balance in their lives and feel better quickly using their own life resources to build stronger resilience for the future enabling them to manage their lives more effectively.

I am experienced in Trauma Management and by using HG Rewind Technique I can help to alleviate trauma so that the past can no longer impact the future.

I am not working exclusively with frontline workers. I welcome all enquiries from anyone in need of emotional support with the aim of treating clients as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

HG therapy is the fastest, most effective treatment currently available. Research published in: Psychology and Psychotherapy: Theory, Research & Practice showed that-

1) More than 3 in 4 clients were either symptom free or significantly recovered in an average of only 3.6 sessions.

2) Human Givens therapy is 3 times more effective than the next most effective psychotherapy.

3) Most people can be helped in 4-6 session although some people require only one or two sessions to achieve their required results. Some people with more complex difficulties may require more.

HG is a brief and solution focussed therapy. The sessions are not designed to be multiple or long term. The intention is to work with the client to achieve the outcome they want in as short a time-frame as possible – and therefore they can move on, fully equipped for the next chapter.

What to expect from your first session

Whatever your needs may be, as your therapist I will offer support in finding ways to transform and change your current patterns which are no longer working for you. Together we will find ways to balance your physical and emotional needs, elevating distress and trauma and bringing you a better quality of life.

By using the HG tools alongside my professional experience, we will work together to help you find a more balanced way of living.

In the first session we will spend some time talking and exploring and setting goals with an agreed plan of action. You set your goals and I will support you in accomplishing them. This is your therapy and my role is to hold a space and offer guidance for you to explore.

Follow up sessions will be discussed once the goal and plan is in place.

I have practice space available to me in West and East Sussex.

I can be contacted via email, phone, website or facebook.

I will endeavour to reply to your enquiry as quickly as possible.
