About me
How can I help ?
I have a diverse, holistic background, knowledge and experience in the field of health. I have an intuitive and integrated understanding of the mind/body connection and how our physical state directly impacts on our emotional well-being.
Using the HG approach I will endeavour to support my clients to restore balance in their lives and feel better quickly using their own resources to build stronger resilience for the future and enabling them to manage their lives more effectively, calmly and feeling more in control.
My speciality is women's health from menarche to menopause but particularly perinatal mental health. This includes the antenatal period, during pregnancy and the years postnatally. However I welcome all enquiries from anyone in need of emotional support with the aim of treating clients as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
About myself
I am a registered HG Therapist (Professional Standards Authority accredited). I am a qualified mental health nurse, general adult health nurse and registered Midwife with the NMC. I am also a graduate in Social Anthropology.
As a therapist I work in all area of mental health. I specialise in perinatal mental health. This encompasses areas of difficulty during the antenatal period, during birth and after the birth without limit to how many years after the event.
I also work with our frontline workers supporting paramedics, fire fighters, nurses and teachers. I am a registered and approved therapist with PTSD Resolution Charity who support veterans with Post Traumatic Stress disorder.
I am also a qualified Yoga teacher currently working in a 1:1 therapy setting with my clients focussing on Yoga's benefits to mental and physical well being, to improve posture, relieve pain, to lift low mood, relieve anxiety, release tension and use breath to learn ways to relax.
I work in my own private practice from my rooms at my home and my consulting rooms in Brighton. I work in person and online so location is not an issue.
About HG Therapy
HG therapy is the fastest, most effective treatment currently available. Research published in: Psychology and Psychotherapy: Theory, Research & Practice showed that:
- Human Givens therapy is 3 times more effective than the next most effective psychotherapy.
- Most people can be helped in 4-6 session although some people require only one or two sessions to achieve their required results. Some people with more complex difficulties may require more.
HG is a brief and solution focussed therapy. The sessions are not designed to be multiple or long term. The intention is to work with the client to achieve the outcome they want in as short a time-frame as possible – and therefore they can move on, fully equipped for the next chapter.
Make contact and feel better soon.

What to expect from your first session
Whatever your needs may be, as your therapist I will offer support in finding ways to transform and change your current patterns which are no longer working for you. Together we will find ways to balance your physical and emotional needs, alleviating distress and trauma and bringing you a better quality of life.
By using the HG tools we will work together to help you find a more balanced way of living.
In the first session we will spend some time talking and exploring and setting goals with an agreed plan of action. You set your goals and I will support you in accomplishing them. This is your therapy and my role is to hold a space and offer guidance for you to explore.
Follow up sessions will be discussed once the goal and plan is in place.
I have practice space available to me in West and East Sussex.
I can be contacted via email, phone, website or facebook.
I will endeavour to reply to your enquiry as quickly as possible.
