About me

Life by its nature is complex. Whether you're navigating a specific issue or simply seeking space to reflect, I offer a warm grounded presence to meet you where you are.

I am interested in you as a whole - who you are, what has shaped you and how you meet the world. I draw on a variety of approaches: you may want to explore your past and what is unresolved, work in the here and now with current issues; or develop more of who you want to become. We may look to your culture or context to deepen understanding.

Whilst most of our work happens through conversation, we can also work with images, objects, metaphor, music, the body or imagination. A creative approach can unlock meaning and be a resource.

I hold space for the unknown and the more intuitive, soulful aspects of this work. What is ‘not working’ does not necessarily need to be fixed and can sometimes act as a signpost towards a deeper knowing, needing time to unfold.

I support your own navigation, gently challenge, as well as sensing into the unspoken. I relate authentically, with care and respect, as I believe the relationship we build together lays the foundation for meaningful change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I gained my Diploma in Integrative and Transpersonal Counselling, a BACP and UKCP accredited course from Re-Vision, London. The training has a pluralistic framework, integrating concepts from Jungian, Gestalt, relational, psychodynamic, body psychotherapy, and family systems theory.

Alongside my therapeutic practice, my background is in the arts as a performer, director and facilitator. I’ve worked with multiple artistic companies committed to social justice, supporting vulnerable adults and young adults. These varied experiences informs my approach to therapy. Themes explored include grief, migration, conflict, co-dependence, gender, secrets, fertility, betrayal, anger, sexual abuse, identity, adoption, isolation, relationships, and self-esteem.

I work with addiction, alongside family and loved ones affected by addiction. I support clients in 12-step programmes, with a strong understanding of and support for the recovery process.

I have lived experience of caring and bereavement, and many years supporting clients through the impact of loss, and suicide.

I work with a culturally diverse client range, of all ages, backgrounds and faiths. I am LGBTQIA+ affirmative and welcome neurodivergent clients. My practice is anti-oppressive and inclusive.

An ongoing ecotherapy and environmental movement enquiry supports my particular interest in looking through the lens of interconnectedness and trust in natural cycles. Some clients find it resourcing for us to work together outside.

I adhere to the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) code of ethics and receive regular confidential clinical supervision. I support my work through ongoing training, personal therapy and keeping up to date with developments in the field.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
