About me
x
Hello, I'm Catherine, and I believe that successful counselling is through fostering trust, deep connection, empathy and genuine engagement. I would describe myself as compassionate, kind and committed to providing a warm and safe environment. I would describe my style of therapy as integrative, creative and relational getting to know you as an individual. I have helped many people over the last few years work through their issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, grief, relationship issues and so forth, using a number of techniques and approaches. I currently work in private practice and for EAP workplace employers throughout the week, this is in-person or remotely. Thursday afternoon/evening are my in person late sessions.
I know that you will be in good hands if you choose to work with me. I'm genuinely here to find out about you. Life can be really shit sometimes. I know, I've been through my own demons in life and I've felt lost, isolated and stuck. I understand how talking to someone can really help. Just having someone who will listen to understand, to help to explore the loose ends and make sense of things. To go away feeling heard and not so alone can help everything feel a little lighter.
Please feel free to get in touch for a chat about therapy and see if I might be the counsellor for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
