About me
I am an art psychotherapist with experience working with talking therapies within counselling services. I offer short to long term individual sessions, with those aged 18 and above.
I work with clients at their own pace helping them to understand firstly what they may want from therapy, how we can work on that journey together and move at a pace that is suitable for each individual. I help my clients to find their underlying difficulties and develop greater understanding of themselves, their experiences and their emotional processes. I utilise specialist trauma and attachment based approaches.
You do not need any experience in art making, and using materials is completely your own choice. These can be helpful tools to use to explore or communicate in non verbal ways or can support with processing thoughts and feelings.
My practice is holistic, systemic and intersectionaly grounded, implementing anti-oppressive and socially informed understanding. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and have extensive experience working with neurodivergent clients.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained and qualified in psychodynamic art psychotherapy and have since specialised in complex trauma. I completed specialist sexual violence training with Rape Crisis, alongside training in a number of specific trauma related responses and difficulties such as dissociation, somatic processing and polyvagal theory.
I also have specialist training in working with ASC (ASD), ADHD and AUDHD. I work with people experiencing a full range of difficulties including but not limited to; depression, anxiety, attachment, relational difficulties, self esteem, self harm, suicidality, CSA, sexual violence, abuse, neglect.
My previous experience covers multiple settings: NHS inpatient, statutory community services, third sector services and I am the co-founder of The Art Therapy Cooperative.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
