MSc CTA UKCP Psychotherapist, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor

About me

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist and counsellor with extensive experience of working with people presenting with many different emotional and psychological difficulties.  I have worked in a GP practice, private clinic and city centre large charitable organisations.

I have been in private practice for fourteen years and I work with Individuals and Couples on a wide range of issues such as:

anxiety, depression, relationship and family difficulties, trauma, low self esteem/low confidence,  bereavement, abuse, poor sense of self, work-related matters, life transitions, fertility problems and miscarriage.

My approach is supportive and non- judgemental.  I will work alongside you, drawing on my experience and rigorous training to identify and explore the areas which may be causing difficulty. For instance; problems with and in  relationships, childhood experiences, unhelpful patterns of behaviour or thinking, feeling stuck, unresolved grief or poor attachment. From a place of deeper awareness, positive changes can be made.

Coming to therapy is not always an easy decision to make. However, once you have taken that step, you may find it interesting, emotionally supportive, an enabler of positive change and a way of finding your way through a difficult time in your life. It may well be an investment in your future well being.

If you are interested in seeing if psychotherapy/counselling is for you, you can email or phone me, and we can arrange an initial session. This will be an opportunity for us to see if we are a 'good fit', for you to explain what has brought you and what you would like to gain from the sessions. It will give you the chance to find out more about my practice and to ask questions.
