About me

** Taking on new clients from February 2025**   I can be flexible - currently have evening and Saturday morning availability.

Hi, I'm Catherine, an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist.  I understand that everyone's journey is unique, and there is no one-size-approach fits all to therapy.  That is why I offer a personalized and supportive space, tailored to your individual needs.

To help you decide if I am the right fit for you, I offer a free 15 minute phone or online chat, no pressure - no obligation.  Its simply a chance for us to connect to see if we are a good match.  Finding the right therapist is important - feel free to reach out - I'd be happy to hear from you.

I offer a safe, compassionate, and non judgmental space where your therapeutic journey is tailored to your unique needs and taken at your own pace.  My passion lies in supporting individuals as they explore and uncover areas of their lives they wish to embrace, transform, or release.  It is a privilege to hold a hopeful and supportive space as you take meaningful steps toward living a life that reflects your most authentic self.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming and I deeply respect the courage it takes to take that first step.  Starting therapy can be challenging, but I am here to provide a confidential, professional, and nurturing environment as we navigate your challenges together.

Integrative therapy takes a holistic view of wellbeing, considering the emotional, physical and social aspects of life.  It provides a supportive space to explore how past experiences and present challenges may shape your perception, relationships, and how you navigate the world.  This discovery often means things feel much lighter and the path forward feels clearer helping you to uncover aspects of your life you want to accept, change or let go of.

I offer both short-term and long term support, depending on your individual needs.  I have experience helping individuals with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, trauma, grief and loss, self esteem challenges, body image concerns, suicidal thoughts, self harm, neurodivergence, relationship difficulties and long term health conditions.  I am trained in trauma focused cognitive behavioural therapy.

  • MSc Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
