People enter into therapy for many different reasons, some to gain a greater understanding of themselves, some to process previous trauma or to gain support for a current life issue.
Whatever your reason for entering into therapy I am able to offer you a genuine connection, in which you will be fully seen and encouraged.
My style is warm, good natured and patient, with you the client being my main focus. I believe that good therapy accommodates the treatment needs of a client, this drives my practice and I work together with people to help them find options and solutions that are the best fit for them.
I enjoy the work that I do as it gives me an opportunity to be alongside someone as they take steps towards their goals (even if that’s figuring what they are). Often people aren’t certain about what is causing them to feel their current emotional pain and need space to help figure out what is making them feel the way they do. Many people begin to learn how to have more fulfilling relationships with others in their life, develop their own inner kindness, learn how to empower themselves and bring a depth to their lives.
The therapeutic relationship is an important aspect of therapy, therefore finding the right therapist for you is essential. I aim to offer a relationship in which you will feel safe and secure, able to be open and honest without fear of judgement and a sense of working together to help you achieve your therapy goals.
This relationship will the base for you explore your own thoughts and behaviours and to implement any changes that you wish, it is also the space in which we will connect; be that by, laughing, crying or simply not being alone in your pain.
I offer a free telephone consultation to anyone wishing to work with me, so that you can get a sense of who I am and how I work before you commit to working together.
I have over 9 years’ worth of experience of offering counselling and psychotherapy and over 7 experience working on a crisis helpline. I have gained my experience working in a variety of settings from GPs surgeries, counselling service centres and Women’s centre.
My experience is of working with issues such as anxiety, depression and low mood, along with working with people who have been impacted by childhood issues, childhood trauma, sexual assaults and domestic violence.
The model that I use is Transactional Analysis, which explores how our current thoughts and behaviours are linked to our previous experiences. As I’m an integrative Psychotherapist I work with other theories and mediums, bringing a creative element to the work I offer.
Nature plays a huge role in my life and I strongly believe in the power of healing a positive relationship with Nature can bring into our lives.
I offer Eco-psychotherapy which is traditional psychotherapy held outdoors, engaging with Nature in a way to provide support to your healing process.
I am an active participant in the field of Eco-therapy and provide training for therapists who are interested in working in this way, alongside running Eco-therapy workshops for people wishing to engage with Nature to enhance their mental wellbeing.
Due to the Covid-19 situation I am working face to face with Covid Secure procedures.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
