Do you wish that you could stop feeling overwhelmed and anxious? Has a traumatic experience left you feeling disconnected or stuck in the past? Want to be able to learn to connect with yourself and others more easily? I can help.
I work with people just like you that have suffered from low mood and anxiety, felt under immense pressure and found themselves last priority.
I will help you learn about yourself, how you can develop tools to care for yourself and how to be the best version of yourself.
I enjoy helping people who feel lost to gain an understanding of where they want to be and how to get there.
I have a particular interest in supporting people who have experienced various traumas and the impact this can have on their lives. These events can leave people feeling completely disconnected from themselves and other people in their lives.
You may find that past events may play out over and over again in your head, you may have forgotten what it feels like to be you. I offer a supportive and confidential environment where you can learn to connect with yourself and others around you, help you feel less overwhelmed and anxious and deal with the events of the past.
I am registered with the BACP with over 6 years experience working in GPs surgeries, counselling services, womens center and on National Helplines.
I offer both traditional style counselling and also outdoor walk and talk counselling.
Outdoor counselling is offered in South Shields and the Jesmond area, in these sessions we can explore your issues in an outdoor space such as the beach or Jesmond Dene park. These sessions take the form of a walk and talk session- however follow all the same principles and boundaries as traditional counselling; such as confidentiality.
I offer short term counselling if you have a specific issue you would like to focus on or a decision to make and long term counselling for a more reflective approach. We always discuss with on our first session which is the most appropriate length of counselling for you.
