Supervision details

Good supervision doesn't test you. It gives you somewhere to bring your uncertainty and leave with more clarity than you came in with.

I offer clinical supervision for therapists and trainee counsellors who often  doubt their own clinical instincts. My focus is helping you trust what you already know, rather than adding another voice telling you what you should be doing differently.

Sessions can be straightforward and talking based, or we can bring in creative approaches, objects, imagery or movement, when words alone don't get you to what's happening in the work. For those drawn to the land , I also offer supervision outdoors in ancient woodland near Hexham, where working alongside nature often opens up material that stays hidden indoors. Some people are drawn to outdoor supervision as they may have their own ecotherapy practice or be considering working outdoors. Others merely find they benefit from being outdoors, working within Nature to support their clinical practice.

I work with individuals and with small groups of up to four, in person from Gosforth or Hexham, and online. As a UKCP-registered supervisor and tutor to counselling students, I stay closely connected to trainee development and current thinking in the field. My outdoor supervision is guided by my own relationship to the Natural world.

Fees are £70 for a therapeutic hour or £105 for ninety minutes.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
