About me

I am a psychodynamically trained psychotherapist currently working in Summertown, North Oxford and  Marylebone, London.

My Services

Open-ended psychotherapy - weekly 50 minute sessions in London or Oxford

Time-limited psychotherapy - typically twelve sessions of 50 minutes in successive weeks

Training, qualifications & experience

My clinical training was started at WPF and was completed at the British Psychotherapy Foundation.

I am psychodynamically trained and a registered member of the British Psychoanalytical Council.

Psychodynamic therapy is a talking therapy based on the psychoanalytic principles originally described by Freud.

Unwelcome feelings or behaviour may be signals guiding you to seek self-understanding.  Talking in confidence with me, you have time to explore freely your life and character. Patterns formed by our earliest relationships, the world of your unconscious, dreams and fantasies, all make up your unique inner world.  Get to the roots of what makes you, you.

Sit with me in privacy and comfort and safely explore your inner world at your own pace.  Relief from pain and the opportunity to grow in work and relationships is possible.

Having worked previously in the field of dementia, I have a special interest in treating people facing the challenges of later life.

Please call me for a short introductory conversation. It's free. It's confidential. I look forward to hearing from you.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

My Oxford consulting room is fully accessible. My London consulting room two steps to the main door. I can arrange a wheelchair accessible consulting room as required.
