About me
I first became interested in counselling and psychotherapy when I was studying in the field of alternative medicine. I had always been interested in healing modalities and philosophies, and soon realized that my passion lies in emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth and healing - though I find this to be connected with physical healing as well.
My therapeutic approach is mainly psychodynamic, and I also incorporate a psychospiritual framework in my work with clients. I also have a special interest in mindfulness approaches, trauma-informed approaches, as well as somatic, movement, and body-oriented treatment approaches. Though my main training is in psychodynamic counselling, I feel that my work is also intuitive as well as integrative. I approach the individuals I work with with curiosity, kindness, and compassion.
I offer counselling sessions online, in both English and Spanish. I offer a reduced fee for people who would like to have counselling but cannot afford the full price, including students (please enquire for details).
Please feel free to get in touch if you feel that we could work well together. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
From 2011 to 2012 I did my first qualification in counselling at the University of Edinburgh - this was an MSc in Counselling Studies with a focus on psychodynamic counselling and person-centred counselling. Later in 2014, I went on to do my full professional training in psychodynamic counselling (MA Counselling) at Goldsmiths College, University of London, qualifying as a practising counsellor in 2016.
I gained extensive experience working as a counsellor for mental health organisations in London, United Kingdom, including Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster Mind (2017-2023), Latin American Women's Rights Service (2019), and Living Well CIC (2021-present). I have also worked in the university sector at Goldsmiths College (2023), and London South Bank University (2017-2021, through BWW Mind), offering short-term counselling to university students. I also worked as a Step 3 IAPT Counsellor for the NHS (also through BWW Mind) from 2021 to 2023.
I have worked with people who have presented with symptoms of depression and anxiety, eating disorders, relationship issues, addiction issues, low self-esteem and self-worth issues, domestic violence, childhood trauma, and much more. I have worked with a diverse range of people from different communities, nationalities, ethnicities, sexual orientations, genders, and sub-cultures. I especially have a lot of experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, people living with HIV, and with the Latin American women's communities. More recently I have also acquired a lot of experience working with neurodiverse individuals.
I have continuing professional development training in other approaches as well, such as psychosynthesis (Graduate Certificate in Psychosynthesis Foundations) and trauma-informed approaches (with Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, and with Dr. Janina Fisher).
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
