Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor MBACP MNCPS Acc.

About me

Hi, I’m Caroline.

Taking the first step to look for support can feel overwhelming, and finding the right counsellor really matters. With over 25 years of experience supporting people through anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma and life transitions, I offer a warm, listening-led and flexible approach centred on you and your unique journey.

Life can bring many challenges — stress, anxiety, loss, relationship struggles, trauma, or times when nothing quite feels right. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or stuck, you don’t have to face it alone. I’ll walk alongside you with warmth, empathy and without judgement, helping you make sense of what’s happening and explore a way forward that feels right for you.

I work in a person-centred, integrative way, which means you lead the process and our sessions are tailored to your individual needs rather than a “one size fits all” model. Together, we’ll move at your pace, gently exploring what’s felt difficult, understanding what may feel stuck, and supporting you towards greater clarity and confidence.

You may choose traditional talk-based therapy, or prefer Walk & Talk sessions in nature if sitting in a room feels difficult. I also offer Equine Assisted Therapy, which can be especially helpful for those who find calm and clarity in the presence of horses.

Whether you’re looking for short-term support or longer-term work, I’m here to help you build resilience and deepen your understanding of yourself in a way that feels safe and supportive.

Training, qualifications & experience

I blend a variety of counselling skills to best support your needs. With a comprehensive experience of providing therapy and coaching, my intuitive and empathic approach helps guide you through life’s challenges.

I offer a safe, confidential, and comfortable space for in-person sessions in my therapy room in Rainham, Kent. I also offer online sessions, for adults making therapy accessible from the comfort of your own home.

Understanding that face-to-face sessions can sometimes feel uncomfortable I offer Walk and Talk therapy sessions. These sessions can take place in beautiful, secure outdoor locations like Mutley Meadows in Hartlip or more locally in country parks in or near Rainham.

For young people Equine Assisted Therapy is available at Kent Equine Facilitated Learning in Horton Kirby, where you’ll be surrounded by nature and the herd.  In these peaceful settings, we can walk, sit, talk, and simply be present as you work through the therapeutic process in a calm, natural environment.

I am fully insured, hold an enhanced DBS certificate, and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an accredited registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Counselling can be a helpful way to understand what you’re experiencing and find support during challenging times. Whether you’re feeling low, stressed or anxious, or facing something else that feels difficult right now, you don’t have to manage it on your own.

If you’re curious about how counselling might help, you’re very welcome to get in touch. I offer a free 20-minute consultation call, giving us a chance to talk things through, ask questions and see whether working together feels right for you. I look forward to hearing from you.
