About me

I'm a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, and I have extensive experience supporting people with anxiety, grief and loss, as well as related challenges such as depression, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, low self-esteem, and the impact of childhood experiences.

Many people are surprised to learn that anxiety is often connected to grief and loss, even the losses that aren’t immediately obvious. The end of a relationship, changes in health, a shift in identity, overwhelming life transitions, or the death of someone close to you can leave you feeling unsteady and anxious. It may feel as though the ground beneath you has shifted, and you’re unsure how to find your way forward.

Counselling with me offers you a calm, supportive space to pause, reflect and gently make sense of what you’re experiencing. Whether you’re navigating a recent loss or beginning to notice that unresolved grief is affecting your life now, we can work together to ease your anxiety, acknowledge your story, and help you regain a sense of stability. You don’t have to carry this alone.

I have a particular passion for supporting people through grief and loss.

Everyone grieves differently. There is no “right” way to cope, and the process can feel confusing, isolating, or overwhelming. Having experienced significant grief myself, I understand how deeply painful it can be and how difficult it is to see a way ahead.

Therapy can help you find that way. Together, we can build a relationship grounded in trust, safety, compassion, and understanding. This is a space where you will be heard without judgement, where your emotions are valid, and where you can begin to heal at your own pace.

If you feel ready to reach out and explore support, I’m here to help.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
