About me
Welcome,
My name is Caroline, thank you for taking the time to look and read my page.
Sometimes life can bring us huge challenges that can completely derail us. Anxiety, sadness, anger, confusion and a host of other emotions and feelings that can overwhelm.
One of the ways that could provide some help is counselling.
Reaching out and taking that brave step could make a significant difference.
I truly understand how life can be so very hard sometimes, having had my own difficulties and challenges. It can be so tough to see a way forward. Having someone supporting, guiding and walking alongside you in the most difficult of times can be incredibly empowering.
"It's often the small steps, not the giant leaps, that bring about the most change." (Queen Elizabeth II)
My approach is to help enable you to discover your own wisdom, rather than me imparting that on you. I want to help you find the ability to take control, rather than depend on others.
For me, the relationship between the client and the counsellor is of paramount importance. To build trust and safety is essential for change to happen and I want for you to be heard without fear of judgement. I believe we all have the capacity to grow and given the right conditions we can reach our full potential. You are the only person who knows how YOU feel, you are the expert on yourself. What I can do, is be accepting of you, listen to you and hear you. Offer you empathy and compassion and someone to be there alongside you during those difficult times.
If you feel that I may be able to help you, then please do reach out and get in touch.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
