About me
Hello, I am Bee (Bronwen) a Qualified and experienced Person-Centred Counsellor, offering Counselling for anyone over the age of 16.
Looking, thinking and coming to therapy is an individual decision. I see everyone as their own person, with their own life, and their own experiences. I aim to provide a safe space for you to share what you need too. I can walk alongside you, through the experiences you share. My role is to hear you without judgement and with compassion. I mainly use a Person-Centred approach as described but I also try to bring in other approaches that may support you. Every individual is different and therefore some may find a practical approach more helpful, others may find creativity a helpful approach.
I have a range of experience as Counsellor within Bereavement charities and more general Counselling organisations as well as experience within the NHS, as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. The Counselling I provide is supported by regular Supervision and Continued learning to enrich the Counselling provided.
If you would like to discuss starting therapy with myself, please feel free to get in touch by email and/or by phone/text.
I am also an EMDR Therapist. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) is a specific therapeutic technique to help process 'traumatic' memories/experiences. The technique is designed to help you look back at experiences, memories, times, without experiencing as much distress. The aim is to help you connect with the memory which can be painful but then allow your brain to fully process this.
This technique is specific and more structured. It can be used for a single memory i.e. a car crash, and/or for more general memories i.e. abuse experienced as a child.
Please message me if you have any questions regarding this.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
