About me
My name is Brigitta (she/her) and I am a UKCP registered MSc humanistic psychotherapist. I am really interested in people’s unique stories and working collaboratively and compassionately to support them heal and grow.
Therapy can be daunting and overwhelming. Picking a therapist or type of therapy can be incredibly confusing at the best of times.
I believe good therapy is providing a rare space where you can feel deeply seen, validated, heard and held. We all deserve a safe space in which we can be authentic, bring parts of ourselves and experiences that might be hidden, shameful or particularly difficult to talk about and be met with compassion and without judgement. In my practice my priority is to provide this space for you, supporting you as we process and bring clarity, self-acceptance and positive change into your life.
As a therapist, I meet you seeking to understand your story and where your wounds stem from, rather than suppressing symptoms or judging behaviours. I work in a relational, holistic, collaborative and explorative way, looking at your past, present, future, mind and body, as I believe these are all ultimately connected and inform one another.
I work to deepen your understanding of yourself, strengthen self-awareness, self-acceptance, autonomy and connection, as well as process your experiences, struggles, trauma, emotions, wants and desires, in a non-judgemental, warm, safe, and empathic space.
I emphasise inclusivity in my practice, tending to and welcoming all parts of your unique lived experience and identity.
I call on a number of different approaches and techniques to support you in a way that is unique to your needs, putting emphasis on your safety and autonomy.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
