About us
If you are feeling overwhelmed, confused, or caught between the expectations of different roles, you don't have to navigate it alone.
Hi, I’m Dr Kelly Chung. Thanks for visiting my profile. As an HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist with a background spanning the NHS, education, and charity sectors, I bring a grounded, real-world perspective to therapy for clients facing a wide range of challenges. Drawing on corporate and international life experiences, I deeply understand the complexities of stress, career shifts, and navigating multiple life pressures.
As an integrative practitioner fluent in English and Mandarin, I offer a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and non-judgemental space. I specialise in complex trauma, life transitions, and identity issues, using evidence-based tools like CBT and person-centred therapy to help you heal at your own pace. Whether you are facing an immediate crisis or seeking deeper self-understanding, I am here to support you, helping you build resilience and move forward when you feel ready.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have practised since 2018 and hold a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. Throughout my doctoral training and supervised clinical practice, I have integrated a range of evidence-based modalities into my work, including elements of CFT, ACT, NET, and Schema Therapy.
Over the years, I have worked with individuals aged 8 to 88 across the NHS, the education sector, and various charities. In these settings, I have delivered both time-limited and long-term psychological interventions for a broad spectrum of needs—ranging from the heavy weight of everyday emotional struggles to deeper, more complex experiences.
I am a fully qualified, HCPC-Registered Counselling Psychologist. The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is the statutory regulator that all practitioner psychologists in the UK must register with in order to practise. Additionally, I am currently in the process of finalising my Chartered Membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and my registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
