About me
Have you reached that point where you think: I need to do something about this....but don't think I can do it on my own?
I seek to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for you to safely explore current circumstances, relational challenges and painful past experiences - endeavouring to create a space that enables you to express yourself, evaluate your situation and explore your options whilst feeling valued, encouraged and supported.
My approach is integrative, which means that I blend different models of therapy to ensure that your experience of counselling is one that works for you.
As we journey together, I seek to be inclusive and flexible, adapting to your individual needs.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would simply like to know a bit more before you decide whether to take the next step.
One hour sessions are £45 but you are welcome to book an initial session (£20 - also one hour) where we can take time to explore whether you think you would benefit from us continuing to work together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a DipHE in Counselling (Middlesex University).
As well as working in private practice, I work as both a member of the clinical team, and as a counsellor, within a local counselling agency.
Member organisations
The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
