About me

Hello, I'm Becky and I am a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor offering counselling to adults and young people in Northampton.

Life can bring us challenges that are difficult to deal with on our own. You are not alone, I will offer you a safe and non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and feelings openly, working towards goals to make life better. I believe the relationship between client and counsellor is important and building trust together we can explore the issues that are impacting you.

In my practice, I am passionate about helping clients with stress, anxiety, panic, low self-worth, trauma, motivation, low self-esteem, family issues, relationships and relationship breakdowns, depression, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), coping with loss and confidence. You may be feeling overwhelmed or stressed and this is negatively impacting you. You may not understand why you feel sad or find yourself in a pattern of behaving which is difficult to understand.

We work together on what you choose to work on, this is your time and a space for you to speak freely about the things that are important to you.  Working together I will help you achieve the changes that you feel will enhance your life.

I work with adults, teenagers and young adults with experience of working within a school youth organisation.  I use a variety of therapeutic techniques which include person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapy (cbt), psychodynamic, ACT and solution focused, all of which help overcome distress experienced.

I want to make your counselling experience a positive one which allows you the time for reflection, healing and personal growth.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am experienced working with teens, young adults and adults. I’ve worked within a youth organisation and within a secondary school, with all levels of presenting issues. I am an Integrative counsellor which means I am able to adapt my approach to meet your needs using different techniques.
