About me
I offer an initial free 20-minute online consultation to establish if I am a good fit for you and your needs.
I offer one to one online counselling for £50 per 50-minute session.
I offer online relationship counselling for £60 per 50-minute session.
Unfortunately, I am unable to offer face to face counselling at present, but this may change in the future. I have worked mainly online throughout my career and find it does have benefits in terms of flexibility, accessibility, and convenience. I can work with clients throughout the country and offer sessions outside of the usual set day and time each week.
I am able to work on Zoom, FaceTime and Microsoft Teams.
Training, qualifications & experience
I worked for one of the blue light services for 16 years before embarking on a new career as a counsellor. I qualified as an integrative counsellor in 2021 with a postgraduate diploma from Staffordshire University. By integrative this means I can draw on lots of modalities, such as person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy and compassion focussed therapy. Following on from this I then qualified as a relationship counsellor through Relate. I am committed to continued professional development and upholding professional and ethical standards. I am also fully insured.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
For individual therapy the first session will focus on what’s brought you to therapy and what changes you would like.
For couples therapy I offer the same process as Relate, whereby there is a session as a couple, followed by two individual sessions. This helps me to gain a real insight into couple dynamics as well as individual hopes and needs.
