About me
Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when relationships become strained or personal challenges start to take their toll. I offer a calm and supportive space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard.
I work with both individuals and couples, helping you untangle difficult emotions, improve communication, and reconnect with what matters most. Together, we can explore patterns, build resilience, and support you in creating more fulfilling relationships - with yourself and others.
I offer an initial free 20-minute consultation to establish if I am a good fit for you and your needs. I can answer any questions, worries or concerns you have, and it'll give you a deeper insight into my style and whether you feel heard, connected and comfortable.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been through my own journey of mental ill health and relationship breakdowns and this gives me an empathy and authenticity when working with clients. I have been a qualified therapist for 5 years and prior to this worked in the blue light sector. I have seen and experienced the most harrowing parts of life - loss and grief, relationship breakdown, mental and emotional struggles, loneliness and isolation, major life transitions and loss of control and uncertainty. With the right support resilience can grow, allowing you to adapt, heal and move through difficult times. I have a real passion for couples therapy and went on to qualify as a couples therapist 3 years ago through Relate. I believe that relationships, whilst often challenging, hold great potential for growth and healing. I can help you explore patterns, improve communication and foster a deeper emotional connection. I have experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and clients who are neurodiverse.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
For individual therapy the first session will focus on what’s brought you to therapy and what changes you would like.
For couples therapy I offer the same process as Relate, whereby there is a session as a couple, followed by two individual sessions. This helps me to gain a real insight into couple dynamics as well as individual hopes and needs.
