About me

I offer a space to talk about difficult experiences without judgement. You might feel nervous about starting therapy, or hesitant to come back to it. When we first meet, we will consider your experience at the moment and how therapy can help.

Exploring how we interact and relate to ourselves, others and the world around us can help to recognise unhelpful patterns and transform our sense of self. Past experiences can have a lasting impact on us and affect our interactions in the present.

Therapy can provide the space to make meaning of your experience and develop a deeper understanding for what is happening in your life. Feeling understood and listened to can be a healing experience in itself.

My training in Integrative Psychotherapy allows me to draw from different theoretical perspectives. This means, that I can tailor my approach according to your needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

My experience of living and working in different parts of the world has given me a deeper understanding of differences and allows me to connect with my clients' challenges in meaningful ways. In my work, I draw from a wealth of personal and professional experience, which helps me to empathically attune to my client's needs.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am currently continuing my training at the NAOS institute, completing the Diploma in Trauma Therapy. Over the past 10 years, I have been engaged in mental health work in various areas and capacities.

I have experience working with a range of clients in short-term and long-term settings. I have worked within a charity that offers therapy to survivors of domestic violence. I also supported clients in various organisations offering therapy to people who struggle with relationship issues, low moods, anxiety, low self-esteem, loneliness and loss. I am working in private practice in Archway, as well as at One Therapy in Central London.

I am fully accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I practice in accordance with the professional Code of Ethics of the UKCP and the BACP.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
