About me

I offer professional and confidential counselling both in-person and online.  I specialise in a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, loss, self-esteem and relationship difficulties.  I am your advocate and through collaboration and exploration, want to offer you the support to find what you are looking for.

Types of Counselling Available:

As an integrative counsellor, I can offer a combination of therapies, including psychdynamic for deeper exploration, humanistic therapy which is more reflective, or goal orientated CBT. I am also experienced in creative therapy and wellbeing, so can put together a package to suit you.

How Counselling Can Help:

I work openly and honestly and at your pace, offering you psychological and wellbeing support within a safe and confidential environment.  It is a space where you can talk freely and be truly heard.  However difficult things might seem, there are ways we can work together to help you progress to the place you want to be.

Style of Counselling:

I work interactively, taking an active role, offering feedback, as well as listening and holding a space for you for emotional and psychological exploration.   Moving towards a deeper understanding, will help you progress to the place you want to be.

I believe in possibilities and change, whether you are feeling completely stuck and want help getting out, or if you are feeling ready to explore new options and opportunities to enhance your life.

Whether you want to increase your self-confidence, manage anxiety or depression, better your relationships or improve particular areas of your life, I can accompany you on your journey towards reaching your potential and feel good about yourself.

I am also a trauma informed practitioner and can help you change painful experiences into sources of strength, working towards resolutions and a new freedom.

However difficult your problems appear to be, we can try to look for a solution together. If you want to make changes, there is always a way!

Location:

I can offer you in-person sessions at my relaxing and comfortable counselling room in Didsbury, Manchester.  Online and telephone sessions are also available.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
