About me
Hi,
I'm Ashim, The founder of Revive CBT & Counselling, where I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and tailored to your individual needs, helping you make sense of your experiences and develop practical tools for change.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from trying to cope while things don’t feel right beneath the surface. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, or relationship difficulties, you don’t have to work through this alone.
I work with anxiety, depression, burnout, confidence and relationship challenges. I have a particular interest in men’s mental health and supporting individuals from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, offering a culturally aware and inclusive approach.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I have a background in physiology and health, allowing me to take a holistic view of both mental and physical wellbeing.
My aim is to help you build clarity, resilience and confidence in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.
If you feel we may be a good fit, you’re welcome to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified CBT therapist with a strong foundation in both psychological practice and physical health, allowing me to take a holistic and evidence-informed approach to wellbeing.
My professional training includes a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside specialist training in group work, equipping me to support individuals as well as facilitate therapeutic groups in safe, inclusive, and engaging ways. My approach is grounded in helping clients understand the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and to develop practical strategies for meaningful change.
In addition to my psychotherapy training, I hold an MSc in Human Physiology, which provides a strong scientific understanding of the body, stress responses, and the physiological impact of lifestyle and mental health. This enables me to integrate mind–body awareness into my work, supporting clients in a more comprehensive way.
I also hold a Diploma in Personal Training, reflecting my background in health and fitness. This complements my therapeutic work by supporting individuals to improve their overall wellbeing through lifestyle changes, including movement, routine, and self-care practices.
Alongside my qualifications, I have extensive experience working in health and wellbeing settings, supporting clients with a range of concerns such as stress, anxiety, low mood, motivation, self-esteem, and lifestyle change. I am also experienced in facilitating group-based interventions, including wellbeing workshops and therapeutic groups, with a focus on creating supportive and culturally sensitive spaces.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice, ensuring that my work remains current, ethical, and tailored to the individual needs of each client.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
