Hi, I’m Annie, an experienced neurodivergent-affirming person-centred counsellor. I will work to support you in feeling empowered to make your own positive changes to live your life the way that works for you. Ensuring a safe, empathetic and non-judgemental space for you to explore any issues you are facing.
Supporting people with various presenting issues, and empowering individuals with ADHD and autism to live their authentic lives.
My aim is to tailor counselling to you, making any reasonable adjustments possible to support you in making therapy as comfortable as it can be.
Currently offering online sessions via Google Meet and telephone counselling sessions to anyone in the UK, and based in Shropshire.

I have experience working with a wide variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, low-self esteem/confidence, loneliness, relationships, grief, loss, depression, ADHD, Autism, LGBTQIA+ counselling and more. No matter the issue, I would love to hear from you to explore how we can work together.

I also offer Single Session Therapy (SST):
SST is an opportunity to have a single session of between 1-2 hours. This time is focused and devoted to you. SST can be particularly helpful when you have an issue that is taking over your life and you need support quickly.
Before the agreed session I would send a short assessment asking things such as what you would like the session to focus on. This will help us tailor our time together to get the most from your session.
Single Session Therapy can be really beneficial for navigating issues in relationships, finding the right tools and coping mechanisms, and providing support and guidance for managing changes.
There will always be the opportunity for more support through more sessions if the need arises.
I can offer sessions lasting from 1-2 hours, this is up to you and based on your needs.
1 hour: £50
1 hour and 30 minutes: £65
2 hours: £80
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I believe in making therapy accessible, therefore I offer a few reduced cost sessions set at £30 with no questions asked.
This includes £30 for counselling students. I currently support counselling students through their training and placement.
Sessions after 5pm are £50.

The duration of a single session is dependent on your needs. We can discuss this together via email or in an introductory call.
