Annalee Daniels BA Hons, Dip., L5 Dip., MBACP (Accred)
About me
I am a MBACP (Accred) Counsellor working from the Banbury Therapy Centre and Albion Consultancy, Northampton. I can offer you a safe place where you can say the unsaid, explore difficult feelings, complex situations and relationships. I am available on Friday Mornings and Friday evenings in Banbury, and on Tuesday daytimes at Albion Consultancy, Northampton. I work short and long term with clients, usually meeting on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
You maybe nervous to begin counselling or unsure of what it may be like, so our first session is to get to know each other, and I can answer any questions you have about the counselling process itself.
You can then decide if you want to meet again and we can begin to explore what is troubling you. My clients often say they feel lighter when they have felt safe enough to open up and share the weight of their fears, worries and feelings with me rather than struggling alone.
I can help you to see who you are, your strengths and defences. Through a developing trusting relationship, I can share insight into how you see yourself, how I see you and how others may perceive you. Together we can look at who and where you are and opportunity for change. We can explore your past and present experience of the world, looking at repeating and unhelpful patterns of behaviour.
I work in Private Practice and also am a Volunteer for a Bereavement Service, offering counselling support for those who have experienced the death of someone close, often in complex and traumatic circumstances.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
