About me
Hi, I'm Annabelle, a BACP registered counsellor and horticultural therapist. I'm passionate about offering meaningful conversation that helps you to grow in confidence, work through your challenges and be your authentic, ideal self. My priority is to offer you a safe, confidential space where there is respect, a warm understanding and sensitive encouragement at your pace.
Where I work:
I offer walk and talk sessions near Ystradgynlais/Craig-y-Nos, online and telephone counselling sessions.
I offer a free 15 minute introductory call for us to get to know each other and decide if you would like to book your first session.
If you would prefer to work with me in person in a traditional room setting, please contact Platfform Wellbeing in Swansea. I am based there one day a week.
Style of working and aims:
Together, we will work from a humanistic and creative approach, which focuses on you as a whole person, your views, beliefs, unique experiences, and your potential for growth. If you struggle to verbalise your feelings, I offer visualisation, sandtray and imagery work to enable you feel empowered and able to express yourself.
I specialise in supporting other neurodivergent individuals, like myself who was diagnosed as an adult. I listen to your story and help you build strength, understanding and healing. I work with clients who have experienced or are experiencing; anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, self identity questions, trauma, bereavement, abuse and addiction.
My passion for combining physical activities, such as nature connection and art within conversations influences my approach, but adapting to meet you and your preferred ways of working is my priority.
Talking and being able to verbalise words and emotions comes easily for some people, for others, it can be really difficult. I feel that offering creative counselling enables and empowers everyone to express themselves through any medium that feels right to them in that moment.
I believe that each person is the expert of their own experience. I won’t tell you what to do or assume that I know all the answers. Instead, I will work collaboratively with you to ensure that your experience, needs, and goals are at the heart of each session, and support you to achieve greater understanding, increased clarity, reduced distress, and fulfillment of your highest potential.
When not working I like to spend time outside, hiking, gardening, caring for our small flock of sheep or printmaking.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
