About me
Hello and welcome, my name is Anna. If you are here then it means you are seeking something, either connection or healing or just to be seen and heard in a safe environment. Whatever the reason just knowing something needs to change is a start.
I have been working in the mental health field for the last 15 years. Alongside the NHS, in care and voluntary settings and now in my own private practice since 2018. My Initial training is in Integrative counselling, I am drawn particularly to Humanistic and Psychodynamic modalities. I have found that Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Sensorimotor psychotherapy really blend well with my flavour of therapy. My therapy today is very much through the eye of IFS and Sensorimotor, and I use IFS 'parts' language in all my sessions. I work very holistically, we will look at your whole self, or as much as you are willing to share. We will work on whatever you bring to the session, there is no agenda in IFS other than being on a healing path. Some of my clients like to work purely with IFS, others prefer a more organic integrative approach of a range of my modalities. Its your session, whatever fits with you on the day is fine.
IFS enables really deep and safe therapeutic sessions and enables all types of traumas to be worked on. Trauma can be so varied, it may be one huge change, crisis, incident or it may be something that is or has been repeated over time and you may be ready to address these, or it may be multiple events that have been traumatic that has led to cognitive or behavioural changes. It may indeed be generational. Whatever the reason, there may be something you are looking to have a deeper understanding of, or to process, or to heal from.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
