Anna Grace-Jacobs MBACP, BAPT & PSA Registered
Hello and welcome to my profile. Reaching out for counselling or psychotherapy can be a daunting prospect, and I invite you to take your time, read my and other's profiles, then meet a few of us before deciding. This is an important relationship, one in which you can hopefully unpeel the layers of your life to find your true potential and move to fulfilment. I offer an introductory meeting, to decide if we wish to go forward so you can decide in your own time if we are a good 'fit'.
I offer over thirty five years experience, qualifications and training in the psychotherapy, counselling and healing fields. As an integrative humanistic therapist, I believe in the power to reach our full potential given the right circumstances. I am honoured to help on this journey.
In our sessions, we may talk, explore your body based experience or use creative tools such as art and the sandtray - it will be your choice always.
I prefer to offer therapy and counselling over a period of time so your journey of growth is one of depth and fulfilment. I offer an initial 8 week period to explore if this is what you wish.
I am a specialist in the fields of bereavement and loss, palliative care and cancercare, trauma, relationship issues, abuse survivors and attachment disorders.
I particularly specialise in supporting women and men who are highly sensitive, maybe hold a spiritual dimension to life and are ready to embrace and fully come into their own empowerment. This can sometimes be linked to experiences of past abuse or trauma. I offer a safe space to release and emerge fully into life from your individual histories.
Other areas I have expertise include:
Separation and divorce; traumas such as abuse; childhood issues; depression and anxiety, low self esteem; and other life transitions.
I have expertise with both children, young people and adults, after a practice of almost twenty years with all ages, but have few spaces nowadays for children. However do contact me if you wish, and I will attempt to signpost you to another suitable professional if I cannot help you.
I am informed by person centred theory, Jungian psychology, transpersonal psychology, attachment theory, family systems theory, creative arts therapy, body-centred psychotherapy, and mindfulness.
I also have extensive experience within the spiritual dimensions of life, as a trained 'spiritual companion' with a background in transpersonal psychology and a healer with over thirty years experience in the shamanic dimensions of life.
I am an experienced group facilitator, offer training to qualified and experienced therapists and other professionals, and a busy supervisor for other therapists.

I welcome approaches from anyone who is interested in personal growth as part of the conscious awakening movements in men and women. Sometimes therapy can simply be a place to explore growth with no known trauma or issue. Sometimes it is time to open the door to potential. Or a transition leads to a change of perspective. Contact me if this is your interest. I can offer coaching/counselling in this area.
