About me

Welcome

Are you feeling challenged by life? Dealing with the ghosts of your childhood? Looking for a confidential space in which you can safely unpack current or past painful situations? Life changes can seem overwhelming and difficult, even those desired ones. This can leave you feeling lonely, isolated and despondent. You may feel that you are alone in trying to navigate complex emotions or are struggling to reconnect with the meaning in your life.

How Therapy Works

I can compassionately support you using a relational method of counselling to explore what has been happening in your life and what that means for you. I am dedicated to helping you address existing unhealthy coping mechanisms and guiding you through processing your anxiety, grief, fear and shame in a safe manner.

My approach is rooted in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is central to the healing process. I prioritize building a strong and trusting relationship with  you, where you can feel safe to explore your concerns and vulnerabilities openly. I am deeply committed to providing a supportive and non-judgmental space.

Areas of Focus

I use a mix of modalities, tailored to your particular needs, to manage issues such as:

  • Anxiety and Stress Management: Learn practical strategies to reduce anxiety, manage stress, and cultivate a sense of calm and balance in your life.
  • Depression: Explore the root causes of depression, challenge negative thought patterns, and develop skills to improve mood and motivation.
  • ADHD and Autism: I deliver training to organisations to provide optimum support for their ASD clients and am experienced in working with neurodivergent-affirming therapy.

  • Relationship Counselling: Enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen connections in your relationships with partners, family members, or friends.

  • Life Transitions: Navigate major life transitions such as career changes, relocation, marriage, divorce, or loss with resilience and adaptability.
  • Self-Exploration and Personal Growth: Explore identity, values, strengths, and goals to gain clarity and direction in your life journey.
  • Family Issues: Support during challenges affecting one family member or the family as a whole.
  • Low Self-Esteem: Moving away from people-pleasing and exploring own needs and desires.
  • Anger Issues: Exploring the triggers and learning to calm the anger.
  • GSRD: Working with gender and sexual diversity.
  • Parental support: From navigating the early years to helping you support your young people through their life challenges .
  • Supporting adults through family estrangement.

I offer short and long-term therapy.

My rooms are conveniently located a few minutes walk from Twickenham Green and all therapy is provided from an inclusive and anti-oppressive stance. I work with adults aged 18 and over. Sessions are weekly, held on a regular day/time  and last 50 minutes.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
