I am an experienced counsellor who works with individuals and couples face to face in Edinburgh and Penicuik, I also offer online and telephone sessions.
I offer a confidential, safe space to work through your concerns and the feelings that come with them.
My clients are aged 16+ and are from a diverse range of backgrounds, abilities, sexual orientation and gender identity. I have specific training in couple counselling, relationships, family systems and sexual issues.
Some of the concerns I work with are:-
Individual & Couple relationships:- communication, affairs, separation and divorce, arguments, loss, anxiety, depression, bereavement/loss, stress, chronic pain, redundancy, menopause.
Sexual relationships:- erectile issues, premature/delayed ejaculation, loss of desire in men and women, vaginismus, dyspareunia, anorgasmia, sex addiction and porn addiction.

Training, qualifications & experience
Fully qualified counsellor with a Certificate in Counselling skills, a Diploma in Relationship Counselling awarded by Relationships Scotland/Napier University and a Diploma in Sex and Relationship Therapy awarded by Relationships Scotland/ COSRT, (The College Of Sexual and Relationship Therapists).
I have had specialist Relationship and Couple Counselling training and I have several years experience working with individuals and couples (aged 16+).
I use an integrative approach using relationship, psychodynamic, systemic and adult sexuality theories.
I regularly attend continuous professional development training courses and keep up-to-date with the latest research findings in a wide-range of fields which are relevant to enhancing my counselling practice.
I am a registered member of the BACP (The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and a general member of COSRT (The College Of Sexual and Relationship Therapists) and I am bound by their Ethical Frameworks for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their complaints procedures.

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
