About me
I am a Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, offering both time-limited and longer-term therapy. I work in East (E3 & E8) and Central London (SE1) as well as online.
At the core of my practice is the belief that the quality of our working relationship greatly influences how much you are able to get out of therapy. I have seen clients make great strides in their life when we have been able to find out exactly how to best support them.
The way I work is best described as a person-centred, embodied enquiry. I am curious about and interested in all aspects of how you experience life at this time. I am attuned from my own experience to the way that language(s), social context, and our physical reality shape the whole of our lived experience. My hope is that I can come to understand some of what that is like for you, to then best assist you.
Our first session is an opportunity for you to explore what it would be like working with me, ask any questions you may have, and discuss your current hopes and fears.
Free initial consultations are available, on request, chiefly for exploring entering into long-term work.
I welcome individuals from any background.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP and NCS. I qualified from Metanoia Institute in West London, where I am continuing to train towards a Psychotherapy qualification. I also hold an Advanced Diploma in the Therapeutic Use of the Arts.
I have extensive experience of providing counselling in the third sector, working with children and adults of all ages, since 2015. I have successfully worked with clients on a broad range of issues: anxiety and depression, addiction, difficulties around food and physical wellbeing, work and relationship problems, bereavement, as well as trauma and abuse both recent and historical.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
