About me

You are here because everything or some things in your life may seem too much, trying to cope with everyday life, there seem to be aspects of life that are causing you concern and you don't know and understand why.

I am here to support you if you need to untangle the 'wires' of your mind, understand a certain situation, want to make a change, find your way or just want to grow and heal.

I am a qualified family psychotherapist with over 11 years of experience, offering psychotherapy for adults aged 18 and over, couples, and families.

I can’t promise it will be easy, I cannot give you a time frame, I don’t have a special recipe but I will provide a space where you can feel welcomed, heard, understood and safe. We are all unique, we can perceive and react to things in many different ways. It takes patience and willingness to work through.

When meeting with a therapist for the first time, it's common to feel anxious, but there's no need to worry. As a qualified therapist, I understand that it can be a difficult decision to make. During your first session, I will explain how therapy works and discuss confidentiality. Additionally, we will review any previous experiences you may have had with therapy and address any questions or concerns you may have. Remember, seeking help is nothing to be ashamed of; taking the first step to improve your mental health is often the most difficult but important one.

Whether you just need to talk to someone or you need to resolve aspects of life that seem overwhelming, you can book a session and get the help and support you need to move into the future with confidence.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Testimonials

"Ana is very patient, kind and really takes time to understand you. She offers a lot of help, but most importantly allows you the breathing space to really think deep down and find your own answers and solutions. The tools she has given me throughout our time together have really helped me on my journey and shall continue to help way into the future."

"I am grateful for the support received, I can see a difference. Happy that I chose you, you were accepting of the nonsense I was saying during our phone call."
