About me
Sometimes the bravest step is simply choosing to begin.
Hello, I’m Amy
I’m an integrative counsellor who believes every person is unique and therapy should be too. Rather than working from one single approach, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities and theories. This allows me to tailor our work to you as an individual- your experiences, your needs, and your goals. I work with adults from all walks of life. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, loss, self-esteem, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to support you.
At the heart of my work is the belief that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in creating meaningful and lasting change. Feeling heard, understood and supported can help us explore difficult experiences, develop greater self-awareness and move towards a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling and true to who you are.
Clients often describe me as warm, caring and easy to talk to. While I take the therapeutic process seriously, I also believe that humour, lightness and genuine human connection can be powerful parts of healing. I am committed to building a relationship based on trust, empathy and respect, allowing you the space to explore whatever brings you to counselling at your own pace.
Alongside traditional face-to-face counselling, I also offer walk and talk therapy. This is for those who feel more comfortable outside of a traditional therapy room. This takes place outdoors and combines therapeutic conversation with gentle movement. Many people find that being side-by-side, rather than face-to-face, allows conversation to flow more naturally. Walking can also reduce feelings of anxiety, promote wellbeing and create a sense of calm that supports the therapeutic process. I am passionate about this way of working and have seen how combining movement, nature and therapy can help people feel more grounded, connected and able to reflect on their experiences.
Whatever brings you to counselling, you will be met with warmth and understanding. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you do not have to do it alone. If you are considering reaching out, get in touch for an initial consultation. This offers a gentle opportunity for us to connect, talk through what's bringing you here, and see whether working together feels like the right fit for you. Finding the right counsellor is important, and it’s ok to take that first step slowly and with care.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
