About me

After 20+ years working in pastoral care across education-advocating for children, young people and their families-I found myself drawn to a different kind of listening. The pandemic cracked something open, and I realised my skills might be better placed supporting adults through deeper emotional terrain.

I didn't come to therapy easily. Like many, I carried the belief that it was only for moments of crisis, trauma and drama. But when life nudged me to toward it, I discovered something far more expansive: a space that challenged old assumptions and quietly transformed how I live, relate and make sense of things. Therapy continues to shape me, and I bring that lived experience into the room.

My approach to clients is rooted in relational depth, emotional truth, and the kind of attuned support that allows you to unpack what's been stored away. I liken the process to clearing out a long-neglected shed- pulling out boxes you've avoided, forgotten, or mislabelled. Some we'll glance at and shelve for later. Others we'll tip out, sort through and maybe discard entirely. And some we'll re-pack with care, making space and sense where there was once clutter. It's slow, sometimes messy, but ultimately clarifying.

For me, I believe therapy can offer the emotional equivalent of hygge - a felt sense of inner warmth, order and belonging. Whether you're navigating rupture and seeking repair in any of life, or simply curious about what's boxed up, I offer a space to explore it all with emotional clarity, psychological depth, and thoughtful gentle navigation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
